Did you hear? Did you see? I did. I read, I pondered and I disagree...partially. No, I agree, wait, I don't know. Annoying to see a man being torn by news. I came across an article...Canada's new copyright law proposal. I don't know what to think of it. It's not a long article, so if you have the time, click on the link and give it a read.
The proposal focuses on the booming market of mp3's players. Also known as the Apple iPod. Burning albums, downloading them from a peer to peer connection, bit torrent for the laymen are to be considered as a prosecutable action. As noble and...morally correct as this seems, where is the medium? Where is it? How is it justified to force honest people, and grand supporters of music to pay for their songs TWICE. For the CD, and for the mp3 content on the internet. The convenience of my iPod is beyond words, I can take it with me to the gym, I can take it on the bus, to school without having to take the countless CD's that I have spent time to put on this mp3 player of mine. CD's in which I have bought with my money and have spent the time to go to the store and get it. In support of the band, in support of music as a whole. What of the people who don't do this? Who have thousands and thousands of songs but do not own but a single album? There are those who cannot afford albums. There are those who...don't really care. Who am I to judge? But look at what this has come to. LOOK! What say you of this....especially if this goes through? I don't need your defense, I don't need it. There is no right, and there is no wrong because it will NEVER be resolved you know that.
As promised here is episode two of the College Saga:
